The freedom of the web maybe in jeopardy . . . again!
If you care about freedom I strongly suggest you get involved and stay informed about legislation that will impact the web.

This Dec 3rd - 14th, the ITU, an agency of the UN, is holding a conference (WCIT-12) to discuses the following topics:

• Human right of access to communications
• Security in the use of ICTs
• Protection of critical national resources
• International frameworks
• Charging and accounting, including taxation
• Interconnection and interoperability
• Quality of service
• Convergence

The concern is that decisions made at this meeting will directly and may negatively impact the way we interact and use the web by being implemented through government agencies without the voice of the people or their elected representatives.

We are connected by the web in a way never before seen in history. It is a tool to inform, entertain, conduct commerce, share . . . let's keep it open and free!

This Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th there are two winter movies showing in Albuquerque. The first is Super Heroes of Stoke by Matchstick productions showing Friday at 7pm at the African American Cultural Center at the New Mexico State Fairgrounds and costs only $10.

Then on Saturday there are two showings of Warren Miller Entertainment's Flow State at La Cueva High School PAC at 4pm and 7:30pm. The early matinee price at four is $8 and the evening show is $15.

So go ahead and feed that atrocious appetite for snow with these two films that are sure to move you to the mountains this winter!
